The United Nations Development Program (UNDP), in the context of the Economic Recovery and Resilience, has conducted the last group training on the “In Motion” Methodology in Astir, for 35 businesses participating in the program.
The “In Motion” Methodology helps microbusinesses affected by the earthquake of November 26, 2019, and Covid-19, with the rebranding of the commercial image and buying equipments that will help them to improve the business in terms of management and competitiveness.
Initially, this methodology was piloted in the Municipality of Durrës, immediately after the November 26 earthquake. 15 businesses affected by the earthquake with damages in buildings, equipment, and products, were supported with new equipment, training, and personalized technical assistance. UNDP is already implementing the “In Motion” Methodology in the area of Astiri, the Municipality of Tirana, in 35 businesses that are affected by the earthquake, and the Covid19.
For a period of 3 months, these 35 businesses have been part of group training and personalized individual consulting, by business and commercial image experts. The business owners are trained on business plan improvement, finance, sales, marketing, etc. They also have received recommendations on how to apply steps such as business planning, monitoring of activities, finances, marketing, services, etc., to their businesses.
To maximize the effects of the technical assistance and support, In Motion will provide these 35 businesses with new equipment/machinery and will create a new and improved commercial image.
In Motion in Astir is part of the Economic Recovery and Resilience Programme (ERR), which is implemented by UNDP and supported by the Municipality of Tirana.
ERR is funded by the Government of the United Kingdom and the Government of the Netherlands.
